Scam Safety Public Service Announcement (PSA)

The primary goal of this PSA is to educate older adults about the increasing risks of scams targeting their age group. Scammers often target seniors due to their perceived vulnerability and unfamiliarity with certain digital technologies. This PSA aims to inform older adults about common scams, teach them how to identify fraudulent activities and provide practical steps they can take to avoid becoming victims.

As part of the production team for the Scam Safety PSA targeting older adults, I was responsible for managing lighting and assisting with filming. My role focused on creating a professional and visually engaging final product while ensuring the message of scam safety was delivered clearly and effectively.

Challenge: In some indoor locations, we faced lighting inconsistencies due to the availability of natural light through windows.

  • Solution: I used blackout curtains and controlled lighting setups to create a balanced, consistent look across all shots, making sure the visuals maintained the same quality in different environments.

For various locations, such as a living room and an office setup, I adapted the lighting to fit the mood of each environment. This included adjusting the color temperature to ensure continuity between indoor and outdoor scenes, while also maintaining a natural feel.
